Split Mode
In Split mode, users are operati ng in a combinati on of Normal
and Shared mode. This mode off ers the use of 4 BeltStati ons (per
BaseStati on) that uti lize the standard anyti me talk back capability
and allows an unlimited number of “shared” BeltStati ons to listen
and talk on the fi nal slot. In this mode, shared BeltStati ons have
no control over which channel they operate on. The channel is
designated at the BaseStati on.
»
Unlimited number of (shared) BeltStati ons may be used
in additi on to the 4 BeltStati ons operati ng in Normal
mode; BeltStati ons are inherently full duplex (talk/listen
at the same ti me) and are physically no diff erent than a
BeltStati on operati ng in Normal mode.
»
Shared BeltStati ons operate in momentary talk mode;
only one shared BeltStati on may uti ti lize the talk
functi on at any given ti me.
»
Each BeltStati on is capable of features such as Stage
Announce, Wireless ISO, and Relays; however, each
acti on takes up the only shared talk path so long as it is
triggered.
»
Shared BeltStati ons are unable to provide telemetry to
the BaseStati on or T-Desk, thus no BeltStati on setti ngs
can be
adjusted from the BaseStation or T-Desk.
»
Volume of the BeltStati on that is acti vely talking is dynamically reduced to minimize the eff ect of echo.
