Charging the Lithium-Polymer Batt ery
With the Lithium-Polymer batt eries installed in the batt ery compartment, plug the AC
end of the supplied 5VDC Charger/Power Supply into a standard AC wall outlet. Open
the rubberized access cover on the side of the BeltStati on and plug the USB end of the
Charger/Power Supply into the USB connector. The Lithium-Polymer batt eries will take
approximately 2¾ hours to charge from completely empty to completely full. This ti me is
the same with the BeltStati on turned ON or OFF. A new, fully charged batt ery should power
a Tempest BeltStati on for approximately nine hours.
Fast charging with the supplied fast charger requires a temperature range of 32° – 113° F.
Batt eries can receive more than 500 charge cycles, and conti nue to maintain more than
70% of their power rati ng. The Tempest batt ery indicator will maintain its accuracy as
batt ery life decreases.
Alternati vely, remove the Lithium-Polymer rechargeable batt ery from the BeltStati on
and insert it into the opti onal 5-Bay Batt ery Charger. The Lithium-Polymer batt eries
will take approximately 2½ hours to charge from completely empty to completely full.

Power Opti ons
The Tempest BeltStati on can be powered by:
» Supplied Lithium-Polymer batt ery.
» AA batt eries; it is safe to connect a power supply to a BeltStati on with AA batt eries installed. It will not harm the
BeltStati on, but will not charge the AA batt eries either.
» Supplied batt ery charger / power supply.
BeltStati on Power ON/OFF
• The Power ON/OFF butt on is used to turn the BeltStati on ON or
OFF.
• Press and hold the Power ON/OFF butt on for two seconds to turn
the BeltStati on ON.
• Press and hold for four seconds to turn the BeltStati on OFF.
