Return Audio Problems
Return audio requires settings to be made on both the encoder and decoder.
Cause
Check
The return audio input
has not been enabled
on the decoder.
Ensure the Analog input enable check box is selected on the decoder bandwidth tab
(see
on page 63).
The return audio input
level is not set correctly
on the decoder.
The input level is adjusted using the Analog input level text box on the decoder
bandwidth page (see
A program audio
stream has not been
assigned on the
decoder.
A program audio stream must be assigned on the decoder; return audio will not
operate if the decoder is not receiving a program audio stream.
Ensure that the program audio stream check box is selected (see
A return audio source
has not been selected
on the encoder.
Select a source from the Reverse audio source drop down. See
on page 55.
The return audio is
not enabled on the
encoder.
Ensure the Analog output check box is enabled on the encoder
(see page 53).
The return audio output
level is not set correctly
on the encoder or the
output is muted.
The output level can be adjusted using the Analog output level text box on the
encoder Configure page (see
