Command Reference
NOTE: With asynchronous commands such as ‘loadplaylist’, ‘play’, ‘stop’, etc. the 9500 sends an "OK" message
to acknowledge only that the command was received by the player. However, this message does not mean that the
player has begun to process the command.
Each section below describes related commands:
In every case, the command to the player must be terminated with an ASCII carriage return character 0d(hex) or
13(decimal).
Configuration Commands
GetPlayerType
This command requests the type of player. The player will respond with:
PlayerType
Where: String1 = Player type from the player type list below.
Number = software version.
The software version will be a numerically increasing version number
Player Type Description
MS9100HD 9100 series based HD players
MS9200HD 9200 series based HD players.
MS9300SD 9300 series based SD players
MS9400HD 9400 series based HD players
MS9500HD 9500 series based HD players
GetChannelCount
This command requests the number of channels present on the player. The player will respond with:
ChannelCount
SetOutputMode
This command is used to set the output mode for the player.

RGBHV RGBHV Component video output
YprPb YPrPb component video output
RGBs RGB with separate composite syncs (not sync on green)
