The general recording and playback process when controlling the camera using a
multiple-block memory is the following:
1.
Press the softkey (A to D) corresponding to the memory block (1 to 4) on
which you want to record the material.
2.
Start the recording on the camera by pressing RECORD on the Remote. The
material starts recording in loop mode on the given block.
If no block is selected, the recording starts on the first available block, or
on the block 1 for the first record.
3.
When you want to start recording on another block, press TAKE.
4.
Stop the recording in one of the following ways:
•
Pressing Last cue will position the camera and cues to the first recorded
frame of the block.
•
Jogging the dial will position the camera on the requested image.
•
Selecting another block, which loads the first frame recorded on this
block in play mode.
5.
Press PLAY to start the playback.
During the playback, the material played on the hypermotion camera is
recorded into the server via the SDI connection.

The Vision Research cameras follow a s lightly different process to manage
multiple memory blocks. This process allows the following specific functions that
are not available on other hypermotion cameras:
•
Playing automatically a block directly after it has been recorded (if no other
block is in play mode).
•
Deleting a selected memory block that is not in play mode (CLEAR+CAM) or a
memory block that is being played (CLEAR).
•
After a CLEAR action on a block in play mode, the camera automatically starts
recording on the cleared block (if nothing is being recorded on any other
block).
•
Recording a memory block while playing or deleting another block.
•
Pressing the CAM key corresponding to a block in record stops the record and
starts it on the next available block.
