FindMe™ (User Policy)

About User Accounts

FindMe user accounts must be created by the
VCS Administrator before they can be accessed
and configured by users.
Each user account is accessed via a username
and password associated with a specific
FindMe name.

Managing FindMe User Accounts

Creating a New User Account

Applications > FindMe > User Accounts

You will be taken to the

User Accounts

page.

Select

New

.

You will be taken to the

Create User Account

page.

Initial password

The password to be used along with the

Username

when logging into this account.

Users will be able to change the password for
their account once they have logged in.

FindMe name

The FindMe name on which the user can be
contacted.
The FindMe name can be any string of up to
60 characters. However, not all endpoints are
able to dial aliases with spaces or other non-
alphanumeric characters so we recommend
that these are not used in your FindMe names.

Username

The name of the user for whom you are
creating an account. This is the name they
will use to log in when configuring their FindMe
options.

Cancel

Click here to return to the User Accounts page
without creating the new account.

Confirm password

Retype the password.

Save

Click here to create the new account and return
to the

User Accounts

page.

Initial device

The address or alias of an endpoint on which
this user can be contacted initially. Once the
account has been saved, the user can add and
remove endpoints themselves.
