private branch exchange
A private switching system, either manual or automatic, usually serving an
organization, such as a business or government agency, and usually located on the
customer’s premises.
processor
In system documentation, the computer on which UnixWare and system software
runs. In general, the part of the computer system that processes the data. Also
known as the
central processing unit .
prompt
A message played to a caller that gives the caller a choice of selections in a menu
and asks for a response. Compare to
announcement .
pseudo driver
