Circular path CT with tangential connection
The tool moves in an arc that starts at a tangent
with the previously programmed contour element.
A transition between two contour elements is
called tangential when one contour element makes
a smooth and continuous transition to the next.
There is no visible corner at the intersection.
Input
Coordinates of the arc end point
Prerequisites:
• The contour element to which the tangential arc connects must be
programmed immediately before the CT block.
• There must be at least two positioning blocks defining the tangentially
connected contour element before the CT block.
A tangential arc is a two-dimensional operation: the coordinates in the CT block and in the positioning block before it
should be in the plane of the arc.
