Installation
Pre-Installation Procedures
Before you physically install the Kayak HD system, familiarize yourself
with the tools required, physical specifications, and safety and power
requirements covered in this section.
System Survey
Check all parts received against the packing list enclosed with your ship-
ment, and examine the equipment for any shipping damage. Immediately
report any missing or damaged items to the carrier and to your Thomson
Grass Valley Service Representative.
Line Voltage
Kayak HD components utilize auto-ranging power supplies which accom-
modate 100 - 240V. No switch settings are required, nor are any possible.
Required Tools
The following tools are required for installation, but are not supplied:
• Medium flat blade screwdriver,
• Medium Philips cross head screwdriver,
• #10, #15, & #20 Torx screwdrivers, and
• 1/4 inch Hex driver.
