Troubleshooting
7.1. Restoring
Factory
Defaults
On rare occasions, you might need to set the LD2100’s configuration to the factory defaults.
For example, if you need to relocate the LD2100 to a new facility that needs a different
configuration for the LD2100, it could make sense to start with factory defaults and then adjust
the configuration as required for the new location.
To restore factory defaults to the LD2100:
1
First, save a copy of the current configuration in case you need to re-load it. See “Save your
Configuration” on page 57 for instructions.
2
In the user interface, go to Configuration>System/Flash Management.

4
Click the Restore Factory Defaults button.
The settings are restored to their defaults.

If you saved the .cfg file before restoring the LD2100 to its default settings, you can re-load
the .cfg file to bring back the previous configuration. Follow the same procedure used for
uploading an image file. The LD2100 distinguishes between file types by the file extension
(.cfg for configuration, or .jpg, .png, or .gif for an image file).
