Save your Configuration
After you have configured the LD2100, save a backup of the configuration to a safe location.
You can also use this backup to copy the configuration to other LD2100s that you are
installing at the same time. Having a copy of the configuration can save a lot of startup time.
When you save the configuration, all parameters, including x-y coordinates for a leak
detection reference map, are saved. The only item that is not saved is the map image itself. See
“Save the Map Image” on page 58
for instructions for saving the map image from the LD2100.
Back Up the Configuration
To back up the configuration:
1
In the user interface, go to Configuration>System/Flash Management.
The System Management webpage displays.

2
Click the Download Configuration File (.cfg) link at the top of the page.
The “Opening ld2100.cfg” pop-up for your operating system displays.
3
Select the Save File radio button and click OK.
The file is saved to your browser downloads folder, or you are prompted to select a
location. Follow these guidelines for naming the configuration file:
♦
Always use the extension
.cfg
. If you change the extension, the LD2100 will not
recognize the file if you have to upload it.
♦
The filename for the default configuration is
ld2100.cfg
. You can change
ld2100
to a
name specific to your configuration, as long as you keep the .cfg extension.
4
To upload the configuration to another LD2100, follow the same procedure used for
uploading an image file. The LD2100 distinguishes between file types by the file extension
(.cfg for configuration, or .jpg, .png, or .gif for an image file).
