2.6.1.1 User Remote (J1)
This port is connected to a control device, such as a terminal or personal computer. The
control device then communicates with the switch and associated modems using the
protocol defined in Appendix A. The user remote interface can be an EIA-485 or EIA-
232, 110 to 19200 baud. The connector is a 9-pin female D with the pinouts as shown in
Table 2-4.
