Manual Exposure — use this setting to manually override automated
imaging. Exposure time can range from 0.001 to 7,200 seconds with the
ChemiDoc MP imager. Exposure time can range from 0.001 to 99 seconds
using the Gel Doc™ XR+ system and from 0.001 to 7,200 seconds for the
ChemiDoc™ XRS+ system. After imaging a gel with automatic exposure
optimization, the display provides a reference point from which to set your
manual exposure time.
Note:
You can view the exposure time of the image in the Image Info
Signal Accumulation Mode — if you are running a chemiluminescence
application on your system, you can also use signal accumulation mode
(SAM).
SAM allows you to get a cumulative sequence of exposures from a
chemiluminescent sample to increase the likelihood that you will get the
correct image.
