This feature controls the number of times the phone will ring before the Wash Select II
modem answers. This is useful for sites with multiple units sharing the same phone line.
Follow the steps below to configure.
13. Using the toggle switch at the top of the CPU board, place the Wash Select II in
setup mode by moving the switch toward the back of the Wash Select II case.
(The CPU board is located on the inside right wall of the Wash Select II case.)
14. Using the (3) key to scroll forward and the (1) key to scroll back, scroll through the
main menu until the “Remote Reporting” option is displayed. Press the (*) key to
enter.

Scroll through this menu until the “Rings To Answer” option is displayed, and then
press the (*) key to enter.
16. Enter the number of rings you choose (1-10), and then press the (*) key to enter.
Default: 1 Ring

Using this feature will allow multiple Wash Select II units to use the same telephone line for
Remote Reporting. Once the deaf time has been set, the first unit will not answer the phone
for a specified time after hanging up. This allows you to call the next unit without the first unit
answering the call.
Example: If you have two Wash Select II units, you would use the “Site ID” feature under the
“Misc. Setup” menu to set the first unit as site one and the second unit as site two. Set the
“Deaf Time” on the first unit to 30 seconds and the “Deaf Time” on the second unit to 60
seconds. This way after you have called and received your reporting information from the first
unit and hung up, it will not pick up the phone for 30 seconds allowing the second unit to
answer instead.
To configure this option, follow the steps below.

10. Using the (3) key to scroll forward and the (1) key to scroll back, scroll through the main
menu until the “Remote Reporting” option is displayed. Press the (*) key to enter.
11. Scroll through this menu until the “Set Deaf Time” option is displayed, and then press the
(*) key to enter.
12. Set the “Deaf Time, and then press the (*) key to enter. (This must be set between 0 and
600 seconds (10 minutes).
Default: 120 seconds
