2.3.2 Credit Mode
The Wash Select II operates in several different credit modes. The credit modes define the
types of credit transactions that will be allowed by your unit. They are defined below.
Mode 0 - No Credit: When in credit mode 0, it is assumed that your unit is not
equipped with a credit modem. This mode should also be used if you wish to
disable the Credit option on your unit.
Mode 1 - Demo: This option should only be used for testing purposes. The
Wash Select II is most often placed in demo mode (mode 1) for testing purposes.
When in mode 1, all credit transactions will be “authorized” immediately. With this
option, the modem will not dial out for authorization. Transactions will not be
processed or charged even though a wash will be given out.
Mode 2
–
EDC Online: This mode is used for normal credit operation through
the locally installed credit transaction modem. All transactions will be captured
and pre-authorized through the credit network using the modem, which is
connected to the modem port.
Mode 3: Generic: This mode is used for normal credit operation whenever credit
transactions are to be processed through an approved generic terminal
connected to the modem port. This mode also has a Generic terminal extension
sub-menu.
Mode 4: POS Auth:
– This mode is used for normal credit operation whenever
credit transactions are to be processed through an external POS authorization
device interfaced directly to the POS4000 console. This mode also has a Generic
terminal extension and RFID sub-menu.
Mode 5: EDC Sheetz:
– This mode is used for normal credit operation through
the locally installed credit transaction and IPTran modems. All transactions will be
captured and pre-authorized through the credit network using the modems, which
are connected to the modem port at the WS2 and the Sheetz local area network
through an Ethernet connection.
Mode 6: Kwik Trip or WashPay Integration: - This mode is used for credit
operation and integration with either the WashPay Site Management System or
Kwik Trip through an expansion board equipped with an Ethernet connection.
Note:
If you have the Paging option, it will only work in credit mode 2 unless you have
purchased the optional U.S. Robotics modem (in which case it will also work in modes
0, 1, and 4). The Paging option will NOT work in Credit Modes 3 and 5.
