after a customer has driven up.
Repeat Delay
This defines how long the Wash Select II should
wait to play the greeting message again if
customer activity has yet to begin. The greeting
message will stop repeating once the customer
initiates an action with the unit, such as adding
money, selecting a wash or swiping a credit card.
3.7 Proximity Sensor
With the proximity sensor, the Wash Select II will detect vehicles when they drive up. The
proximity sensor consists of the following components:
1.
Transmitter/Receiver pair - attached to the door.
2.
Power block - attached to the top of the power supply unit.
3.7.1 Normal Adjusting of Proximity Sensitivity
You may adjust the sensitivity of the proximity sensor by turning the control knob on the front
of the power block. (See Figure 32.)

You should test this adjustment with and without a vehicle in front of the unit. The normal
sensitivity setting range is between 6 and 10 on the dial.
3.7.2 Adjusting Sensitivity with the 100% Range Setting
The proximity sensor block is shipped pre-set on the 25% range setting. If you find that this
does not work for you, you may adjust the range setting on the power block. It is suggested
that this adjustment be performed in bright sunlight. Follow the steps below to adjust the
range setting.
1.
Remove the power block from the Wash Select II.
