18. Now click on Channel 2. By default, Channels 2 is marked “Not Used”. Unless using a special
probe, leave this channel as “Not Used”. Because it is not used, the Tip Type and Fiber Count
can be left on the default settings.
Click on “OK” when finished. This returns the user to the DCM screen.
19. Verify that the name is entered for the DCM. Click OK when finished.
20. Click on the DCM method to highlight it,
then click on OK.
The instrument will connect.
21. Once the instrument is successfully
connected, the amber “Communications”
LED (middle LED) will light.
