2.3 Display/Interface Module
The Display Interface Module is located on the Electronic Power Control Unit
(EPCU). Status of power-up may be monitored using this display.
The Display/Interface Module gives information about the purge control. Each LED
indicates status of a specific function.
The four LED indicators at the bottom are:
• HEP: High Enclosure Pressure
• SDT: Shutdown Delay Timer
• RET: Rapid Exchange Timer
• SEP: Safe Enclosure Pressure
Green LED signals indicate normal power
conditions.
Blue LED signals indicate normal air pressure
and flow conditions.
Yellow LED signal on the Rapid Exchange Timer
indicates the timer is underway.
Red LED signals indicate unsafe operating
conditions, and instrument power is de-
activated.
2.3.1 Information about the Vent System:
The vent system is located on top of the instrument enclosure. To operate with the purge system, the
XDS Process Analytics Instrument must be installed in an upright position, with the vent in the
position shown.
This vent must be tested before power-up. A blunt object, at least
6” (153mm) long should be inserted up the tube, from inside the
enclosure, to verify that the flapper is not seized. The eraser end
of a pencil works quite well.
