15.
Rotate the Main Power Wiring Header to the correct position to snap in place in the base
unit. This will require arranging the wires neatly out of the way to place the header in
position. Snap firmly into the base unit. (Refer to step 7 to see the original position.)
16.
Using proper anti-static (ESD) protection, push the Encapsulated Intrinsic Safety Module
(EISM) straight inward, using the guide slots. Push firmly into place.
17.
Tighten the two screws that hold the Encapsulated Intrinsic Safety Module (EISM) to the base
unit.
18.
Snap the wired headers into position on the Encapsulated Intrinsic Safety Module (EISM).
19.
Install the face plate onto the Display Interface Module. Install the two Phillips- head screws
that hold it in place.
20.
Re-install the round green cover over the Display Interface Module. Rotate about 8-10 turns
clockwise, until almost snug. Red label should be in the “up” position.

AC Power Switch Settings
There are two switches that must be set for the supplied operating voltage. These are:
The first switch (Heater) is at the
center of the circle in the diagram
at right.
Switch position is as follows:
•
UP:
115VAC
•
DOWN:
230 VAC
The second switch is located on the
bottom of the optional air
conditioner, in a difficult location.
This photo shows the switch in the
115V position, using a round 45-
degree mirror to verify the setting.
Because this switch is rather
inaccessible, it is factory-set for the
voltage in the destination location.
If this switch needs to be reset due
to instrument relocation, please
advise Metrohm of this fact.
Instructions will be supplied for
changing the voltage.
