9. Take a reading in the reference position. The Gain and voltage reading should be as low gain
and as high voltage as possible in the NIR region.
10. When ready press exit
11. Reference standardisation
12. Select Diagnostics, reference standard, create reference standard
13. Click "OK".
Vision takes an instrument reference scan. The XDS instrument has an internal reference fiber,
which is selected for this purpose. Follow instructions on screen.
Vision requests the 80% reflectance standard to be placed in the fixture. The paddle will open
and a scan of the reference sample will be taken.
Vision will request the standard file for the certified 80% Reflectance Reference. This file is on
the mini CD packed with the standard and may be copied to the hard disk for ease of use.
The file is named RSSxxxx.da. Click on the file, then click on “Open”
