Monitoring with interrupted PROFIBUS communication
9.3.1
Permanent interruption of communication
If the PROFIBUS communication is interrupted permanently, e.g. by cable breakage or
failure of the PROFIBUS master, no process data are transmitted to the slave in the
"Data_Exchange" (DATA_EXCH) state.
After the watchdog monitoring time has expired, the response parameterised in code
C1882 is effected.
The preconditions for a response by the slave are as follows:
1. The response has to be activated by the user by the selection "Fault", "Controller
inhibit" (CINH), or quick stop "QSP".
2. The slave has to be in the "Data_Exchange" state.
3. The watchdog monitoring time in the master has to be configured correctly by the
user.
If one of these preconditions is not met, there is no response to the absence of cyclic process
data telegrams of the master.
