Help viewers with disabilities and those who speak other
languages enjoy your videos by writing and uploading
subtitles for your video. Captions also give YouTube more
information about your video, helping it show up in more
places on the site.
To add captions to your video, click your
username and
select
Video Manager. Then choose the Edit dropdown
next to the video you want to manage and click
Captions.
Step 3: Write Captions
TIP:
You may receive more views from certain countries. If you
decide to create captions, make them for the top countries first.
If your video is captioned for multiple languages, it will be more
likely to show up in search results for those languages.
