Function
Description
The MAXA function returns the largest number in
a collection of values that may include text and
Boolean values.
The MEDIAN function returns the median value in
a collection of numbers. The median is the value
where half the numbers in the collection are less
than the median and half are greater.
The MIN function returns the smallest number in
a collection.
The MINA function returns the smallest number
in a collection of values that may include text and
Boolean values.
The MODE function returns the most frequently
occurring value in a collection of numbers.

The NEGBINOMDIST function returns the
negative binomial distribution.
The NORMDIST function returns the normal
distribution of the specified function form.
The NORMINV function returns the inverse of the
cumulative normal distribution.

normal distribution.
“NORMSINV” (page 278)
The NORMSINV function returns the inverse of
the cumulative standard normal distribution.
“PERCENTILE” (page 279)
The PERCENTILE function returns the value within
a collection that corresponds to a particular
percentile.
“PERCENTRANK” (page 280)
The PERCENTRANK function returns the rank of
a value in a collection as a percentage of the
collection.
The PERMUT function returns the number of
permutations for a given number of objects that
can be selected from a total number of objects.
The POISSON function returns the probability
that a specific number of events will occur using
the Poisson distribution.
The PROB function returns the probability of a
range of values if you know the probabilities of
the individual values.
