When setting the DIP switches, consider the following:

❑ For a twisted pair port(s), setting the AUTO NEG switch to either

ON or OFF enables or disables auto-negotiation on the port. If you
disable auto-negotiation, be sure to set the DIP switches for the
port’s speed and duplex mode to match the speed and duplex
mode of the end-node.

❑ For a fiber optic port, set the port’s duplex mode using the

appropriate DUPLEX MODE DIP switch. This setting must match
the duplex mode capability of the end-node to be connected to
the port.

J6 Jumper

The AT-PB200 and AT-PB202/x Series Switch modules feature a J6
jumper. There are two possible jumper settings: Enable and Disabled. If
the chassis does not contain an AT-PBM02 management module, set the
J6 jumper to the Enable (RIGHT) position. If the chassis contains an
AT-PBM02 management module, set the J6 jumper to the Disabled
(LEFT) position. Disabled is the factory default setting. Refer to Figure 33
for the location of the J6 jumper.
