Field replaceable unit. Component that
can be replaced in the field upon failure.
G_Port
Generic port. A port that can operate as
either an E_Port or an F_Port. A G_Port
can determine operating mode at switch
port initialization, F_Port when an N_Port

heartbeat LED
A chassis LED that indicates the router
status.
hot replaceable
Also known as hot swappable; it means

Large
frames used in high-performance
networks to increase performance over
long distances. Jumbo frames generally
means 9,000 bytes for Gigabit

but can refer to anything over the IP
