Performing pair operations
This module describes supported pair operations and procedures for changing copy pair status:
• About changing copy pair status
• Confirming copy status during task execution
About copy pair operations
You may need to perform operations that change the copy pair status (such as splitting and
re-synchronizing copy pairs), when errors occur in managed resources or when you backup data.
The following operations can be performed to change the copy pair status.
Operations for changing the copy pair status
Explanation
Operation
Creates a copy pair based on the configuration definition file (the initial copying
of a copy pair in simplex status is performed).
create
Splits a copy pair.
split
Performs data re-synchronization from the primary volume to the secondary volume.
resync
Performs data re-synchronization from the secondary volume to the primary volume.
restore
Dissolves a copy pair (the copy pair is placed in simplex status).
delete
