Page on System Configuration or POST Error. When enabled, HP Remote
Assistant sends a notification whenever it detects a system configuration error (for
example, a board has been installed without configuring it through the EISA
Configuration Utility), or a POST error. System configuration and POST error events
are those listed in Appendix A with the format 7xxx.
Page on System Status Event. When enabled, HP Remote Assistant sends a
noification whenever the server status changes. Status events may be informational or
describe problems with the server. System status events are listed in Appendix A.
Each menu item is associated with a toggle option that you can change to enable or
disable an action. The first time you open the menu, each action is set to the toggle
option selected in the Configuration Utility (the default for each action is shown in the
Event Management menu displayed in the previous section). You can toggle between
enable and disable by typing the number of the menu item and pressing Enter.
NOTE The event management settings listed above can also be configured by
running the HP Remote Assistant Configuration Utility at the server on
which the HP Remote Assistant board is installed. For more information on
using the HP Remote Assistant Configuration Utility, see Chapter 2.
9. Administrator/Pager Configuration
For secure communications with an administrator at a remote site, Remote Assistant
provides an Administrator Configuration window to create and manage administrator
aliases for up to eight different sites, including name, password, pager number dial-
back number, and pager enabling (indicated by a T or N--TAP or Numeric--in the
Pager# column). The ability to specify aliases also allows an administrator to provide
backup administrators with access to the server through HP Remote Assistant.
When you choose Administrator/Pager Configuration, HP Remote Assistant displays
the current administrator configurations. For example:
