Transferring business tasks from Continuous Access XP Journal secondary sites to primary sites
If you follow the instructions in ”
Recovering from primary site and Continuous Access XP Synchronous
” on page 70 and remove failures from the primary site and Continuous Access XP
Synchronous secondary site, you can transfer the business tasks back to the primary site.
To transfer the business tasks back to the primary site:
1.
Use RAID Manager to delete the Continuous Access XP Synchronous pair.
2.
If the Continuous Access XP Journal pair has not been resynchronized to reverse the primary and
secondary volumes and is suspended, use RAID Manager to resynchronize the pair to reverse the
primary and secondary volumes.
The secondary data volume at the former Continuous Access XP Journal secondary site changes to the
primary data volume. The primary data volume at the former primary site changes to the secondary
data volume (see the upper-right portion of

Stop the business tasks at the Continuous Access XP Journal secondary site.
4.
Use RAID Manager to execute the
horctakeover
command on the Continuous Access XP Journal
pair. The Continuous Access XP Journal primary and secondary volumes are reversed.
5.
Use the primary volume at the primary site to resume the business tasks.
6.
Use RAID Manager to resynchronize the Continuous Access XP pair. The system configuration changes
to the original 3DC multi-target configuration (see the lower-right portion of
