4.3 Dual Homing Application

The Dual Homing function is used to prevent the connection loss between the X-Ring group

and the upper level/core switch. Assign a port in each X-ring group to be the Dual Homing

port. The Dual Homing function only works when the X-Ring function is active. Each X-

Ring group only has one Dual Homing port.

[NOTE] In the Dual Homing application architecture, the upper level switch needs to have

Rapid Spanning Tree protocol enabled.
