1 Turn both power switches off and unplug the power cord.
2 Remove the upper and lower paper cassettes from the
printer.
3 Loosen the screw on the metal plate in the lower paper cas-
sette slot with a Phillips screwdriver.
Be careful not to drop the screw inside the printer.
4 Insert a finger or a screwdriver in the hole and slide the
catch to the left as far as it goes while lifting the plate
upward.
