A SSEMBLING B OOM- S ECTION 3
Note! Reference Diagram of Boom-Section 3 on page 9.17
Stage 1
Thoroughly clean boom-section 3, inside and out.
Grease inside bearing pad paths.
Lift and position boom-section 4 in front of boom-section 3.
Insert boom-section 4 into boom-section 3.
Stage 2
Install the top front bearing pads to boom-section 3.
Note! Do not torque the bolts yet!
Install the bearing pad support.
Note! Do not torque the bolts yet!
Install the bottom front bearing pads.
Note! Do not torque the bolts yet!
Install the side front bearing pads.
Torque bolts on the front bearing pads and support.
Stage 3
Adjust the shims and torque the rear bearing pads on boom-section 4.
Install bottom rear bearing pads.
leave loose for shimming and torqueing later.
Install the side rear bearing pads.
Leave loose for shimming and torqueing later.
Install the top rear bearing pads.
Leave loose for shimming and torqueing later.
