GENERAL
The extend and retract chains are used to move boom-section 3 and boom-section 4 in
and out, proportional with the movement of the boom crowd cylinder.
EXTEND CHAINS
The 1" extend chains are located at the top of the boom assembly. The single boom-
section 4 chain attaches to the top rear of boom-section 4, passes over a chain roller
mounted on boom-section 3 and is secured to the top front of boom-section 2.
Boom-section 3 has two 1" extend chains located at the top of the boom assembly. They
attach to the top rear of boom-section 3, pass over two rollers mounted at the front of
boom-section 2 and are fastened to the top front of boom-section 1.
