A SSEMBLING B OOM- S ECTION 4
Note! Reference diagram of Boom-Section 4 on 9.13
Stage 1
Place boom-section 4 on stanchions and clean it thoroughly.
Grease the bearing pad & hydraulic sub-assembly sliding path areas thoroughly.
Fasten the bearing pad for the hydraulic sub-assembly to the inside of the boom.
Attach the bracket for the hydraulic sub-assembly to inside of the boom.
Make sure the inside guide paths for the sub-assembly guide bracket are greased.

Stage 2
Install the hydraulic sub-assembly, cutting tie-wraps as the assembly slides in.
See assembly instructions for Hydraulic Sub-Assembly in Section 7.0
Bolt the hydraulic sub-assembly to the boom bottom.
Stage 3
Bolt on all rear bearing pads. Leave one shim out of each package to aid
installation into boom-section 3.
Attach the chain clevis and the keeper plate to the inside rear of the boom.
Assemble grease fitting extensions for rear bottom bearing pads.
Grease outside bearing pad paths.
Lube the 1" extend chain completely. Make sure the chain is inspected and is in
good working condition per parameters listed in Section 6
Attach the chain to the chain clevis.
Attach chain clevis to top of boom-section 4.
Boom-Section 4 is now ready to be installed into Boom-Section 3.

The boom is upside-down so the
