FROM BOOM-SECTION

Remove the rear bottom (top side of boom package) and side
bearing pads from boom-section 4.
Remove the 3/4" retract chain through the rear of boom-section 4.
Remove the retract chain roller at the rear of boom-section 3.
Remove the front bearing pads and supports.
Carefully pull boom-section 4 from boom-section 3, taking care to protect chains.
Disconnect chains when booms are free of each other.
Place the boom in a designated area for future access.

Removal of the hydraulic sub-assembly from the inside of the boom is the most difficult
operation of this dis-assembly. Refer to Section 7, Hydraulic Sub-Assembly for removal
instructions. Remember! It is important to tie the two hydraulics carriers together during
removal. This will keep the assembly together and make it easier to remove as a unit. Be
careful when removing the hydraulic sub-assembly from the bracket.
All other components attached to boom-section 4 are exposed and require no specific
removal instructions.
