" Retract Chain Roller

Preparation

Extend the boom until an access hole is accessible.

Position the handler in a safe, level, open area well away from

personnel and equipment. Apply the park brake, shift the

forward/reverse lever to “Neutral” and turn the rear

wheels straight forward.

Remove the jam nut from the chain clevis at the back of

boom-section 4.

Back off the adjusting nut on the chain clevis fully

without removing it.

Carefully retract the boom part way.

Turn off the ignition, remove the keys and chock all wheels.

Removal

Unbolt the hydraulic sub-assembly bracket of the rear from boom-section 3.

Lift the hydraulic sub-assembly off the roller.

Remove one bolt from the keeper plate and swing it out of the way.

Remove the pin and roller.

Install a new pin and roller.

Reinstallation Hook-Up

Position the handler in a safe, level, open area well away from personnel and

equipment. Apply the park brake, shift the forward/reverse lever to “Neutral” and

turn the rear wheels straight forward.

Install the hydraulic sub-assembly.

Extend the boom until an access hole is accessible.

Tighten the adjusting nut on the chain clevis.

Install the jam nut on the chain clevis.

Readjust the chain per instructions in Section 4.

Note!

You may hove to use threaded

rod (all thread) to reinstall the

Hydraulic Sub-Assembly bracket

removed at “Removal”, Step 1.

Refer to Section 7.
