Updating the software for the MMI
SAFE
NOTE
Do not remove the SD card until the SAFE icon is displayed so that it will be detected by the MMI
when you reinsert it.
Update the MMI software
Perform the following steps in the indicated sequence:
 Copy the software image fi le (*.img) to the SD card.
 Insert the SD card into the MMI.
 Select “Setup”  “Software upgrade”.
 Select “MMI” and press “Start” (fi gure 34).
 A dialog box is then displayed.
 Confi rm the message to indicate that you understand that this process cannot be undone.
 A dialog box for opening fi les is then displayed (fi gure 35).
 Select the image fi le that you copied earlier.
 Press the “Open” button.
The MMI displays the progress of the upgrade (fi gure 36). After a short period of time, the system is restarted
(fi gure 37).
NOTE
If the image fi le is faulty, an error message is displayed and normal operation is resumed.
