Appendix A Remote control protocols
RS-422 and Protocol Controller Ports
When you view a channel’s Options dialog box, the Protocol Control Port is reported
as P1, P2, P3, or P4. A Protocol Control Port maps to a RS-422 rear panel connector
as in the following illustration:
For the Protocol Control Port reported in the Options dialog, the labels P1, P2, P3, and
P4 refer to RS-422 rear panel connectors (ports) 1, 2, 3, and 4.
