Configuring the authenticatee

Configuring CHAP authentication
According to whether the authenticator is configured with a username or not, the configuration of CHAP
authentication falls into the following two types:

CHAP authenticator.

authenticator must be the same as
the local username you assign to
the authenticator on the
authenticatee.

6. Create a local user account
for the authenticatee and
enter local user view.

7. Set the password for the local

The password of the authenticator
user must be the same as that of the
authenticatee user.
8. Configure the service type of
the local user as PPP.
