4-7-1 The UNIT indicator
The UNIT indicator is for indicating the unit identification of series-connected SL-C Series units. (See the SL-
C Series Instruction Manual for more information about series connections.)
The unit display has 4 indicators corresponding to the maximum number of series connection. (Up to 4 units
can be connected in series.) The indicator can be switched to indicate the information from any of units 1 to
4. See the upper right diagram for information about assigned numbers to each unit.
Method for switching the UNIT indicator
The 4 “UNIT” indicators can light in the order from “UNIT 1” to “UNIT 4” by pressing the Unit switching button.
Therefore, you can monitor the information through the “CLEAR/BLOCKED” indicators, which is related to the
SL-C unit corresponding to the lighting indicator.
When less than 4 units are connected in series, only the UNIT indicators for the number of connected units
will light.
Example
When 2 units are connected in series, pressing the Unit switching button will cause the indicators to cycle in
the following order: 1 → 2 → 1.
