4-4-4 Connecting the blanking blind protection (BBP) unit and the SLR-12EX

WARNING

• The BBP unit (SL-C08SB/SL-C16SB) can be connected to the SL-R12EX using

only the following cable combinations: SL-PC5P/SL-PC10P and SL-CC10PT/SL-
CC10PR.

• The maximum length of the BBP connection cables (BBP transmitter and BBP

receiver cables) must be 30 m (98.43 ft.) or less each.

• Using cables that exceed 30 m (98.43 ft.) in length could result in unstable

operation of the BBP unit (SL-C08SB/SL-C16SB) and the SL-R12EX and cause
a serious accident leading to serious injury or death of the machine operator.

Use the dedicated cables to connect the blanking blind protection unit (SL-C08SB/SL-C16SB) and the SL-
R12EX as shown in the figure below. Connect and secure the cables from the blanking blind protection unit
(SL-C08SB/SL-C16SB) to the connectors for BBP receiver and BBP transmitter provided on the SL-R12EX.
