13.2 Alarm Mode
The
Alarm Mode feature of the MINI-MAX provides the user with a method of
setting tolerances, or limits, for a particular application requirement. This feature
may be convenient for those users who want to have a quick verification without
having to constantly watch the display for a specific value to appear. The alarm
mode uses red and green LED’s to let the user know when the fastener is inside
the tolerance limits. The limits are also displayed on the LCD in terms of a bar
graph presentation. There are two limits, or alarm values, that can be setup in
the MINI-MAX – ALARM LO LIMIT and ALARM HI LIMIT. However, the user
may choose to activate and utilize only one of the limit values, depending on their
specific application requirements. The procedures to use the

feature are outlined below:

1) Press the
MENU key once to activate the menu items tab. Press the
MENU key multiple times to tab right, and the ESC key multiple times to
