Appendix C: Error Messages
Solution
Make sure that the address specified is within the scope of the tag data address space
and available for the specific operation. The protocol specifications contain information
about the supported addresses.
FAULT_GENERAL_TAG_ERROR – 40Ah
Cause
This error is used by the M5e GEN2 module. This fault can occur if the read, write, lock,
or kill command fails. This error can be internal or functional.
Solution
Make a note of the operations you were performing and contact ThingMagic at
FAULT_DATA_TOO_LARGE – 40Bh
Cause
A command was received to Read Tag Data with a data value larger than expected or it is
not the correct size.
Solution
Check the size of the data value in the message sent to the reader.
FAULT_PROTOCOL_INVALID_KILL_PASSWORD – 40Ch
Cause
An incorrect kill password was received as part of the Kill Tag (26h) command.
Solution
Check the password.
