4.0 Calibration
Calibration types depend on how many load cells are connected to iQUBE
2
. See Table 4-1. If only one load cell is
connected, only 2-point calibration will be available.
The iQUBE
2
can be calibrated by using the Virtui
2
Configuration Utility
,
Revolution III, 920i, or serial commands.
No minimum test weight values are required; however, at least 10% of the scale capacity is recommended.
4.1
920i Calibration
Verify that the iQUBE
2
is connected to the 920i
with power applied. Use the 920i
setup switch to make sure the
indicator is in setup mode.
Do not move the
iQUBE
2
SW1 switch. It should remain in the OFF position (see Figure on page 6 and Figure 3-
1 on page 19). If
iQUBE
2
is not connected, menus may run very slowly. Configuration must be downloaded prior
to calibrating.
Do not mix calibration types (section, corner, 2-point). Span adjustments must be made in appropriate
calibration type.

Calibration Type
Description
2-POINT
Traditional span calibration. No trimming will be done.
CORNER
Used when weight will be placed over each load cell.
SECTION
Used when load cells are paired with each other and calibrated in those pairs.
THEORETICAL
Mathematically calibrates the scale using full scale capacity and load cell sensitivities.
