Load Cell Assignment
Once the load cells have been defined, load cell assignment allows up to 16 load cells to be associated with up to
four scales.
1. From the left pane, click
Load Cell Assignment
.
2. From the listing of scales, select the scale being
configured (Scale #1 – Scale #4).
3. In the
General
tab, select the calibration type.
4. In the
Cell Assignment
tab, use the right arrow but-
ton to move numbered load cells from the Avail-
able Cells list to the Assigned Cells list for that
scale. (Use the left arrow button to return a
selected cell to the Available Cells list.)
5. A representation of load cell locations in the scale
is shown in the
Section Layout
portion of the dis-
play.
For all scales, use the up and down arrow
buttons to arrange the cells shown in the
Section Layout section to reflect their physical
layout.
The
Section Layout
configuration provides essential information to the system about cell relationships.
Calibration and diagnostic functions depend on an accurate representation of the scale.
Comm Ports, Digital I/O, Diagnostics
Use the
Comm Ports, Digital I/O,
and
Diagnostics
buttons from the left pane to customize applicable settings. Refer to
Revolution III
’s
Indicator Help Contents for specific information; see Section 6.0 on page 46 for diagnostics infor-
mation.
3.3.2 Downloading to the iQUBE
2
Once configuration is complete, you must download the configuration data from the PC to the iQUBE
2
.
1. From the
Communications
menu, select
Connect… or, from the toolbar, click the Connect button.
Revolution automatically detects the iQUBE
2
communications port. Once connected, the
Connect
button
becomes grayed out and the
Disconnect
button is enabled.
If a connection cannot be made, make sure the baud rate is set to 115200 under Tools
»
Options
»
Settings.
2. From the
Communications
menu, select
Download Configuration...
3. Click
Begin
to initiate the download. Downloading may take up to 30 seconds.
Configuration is not saved in the
iQUBE
2
until SW1 is set to OFF. To discard changes and revert to the currently
saved configuration, cycle the
iQUBE
2
power while SW1 is still set to CFG.

Section Layout
NOTE: If only one cell is assigned to that
scale, 2-point calibration will be the only
available calibration type.
