With the barcode reader you can track and document your samples via barcode IDs.
The barcode reader is connected to a USB port on the MultiCon.
Plates have a barcode ID. The barcode ID of a well is generated automatically from the barcode ID of the
plate and the identification of the well. Racks do not have a barcode ID. Each tube in a rack has a barcode
ID.
The barcode reader has 2 settings:
• Manual: To read a barcode ID, press a key on the barcode reader.
• Automatic: To read a barcode ID, hold the barcode reader to the barcode. The barcode reader detects
the barcode IDs automatically.
