Displaying port security information
You can display the following information about the port security feature:
•
The secure MAC addresses that have been saved to the startup-config file by the autosave
feature
•
The port security settings for an individual port or for all the ports on a specified module
•
The secure MAC addresses configured on the device
•
Port security statistics for an interface or for a module
Displaying port security settings
You can display the port security settings for an individual port or for all the ports on a specified
module. For example, to display the port security settings for port 7/11, enter the following
command.
Brocade# show port security e 1/1

Port
The slot and port number of the interface.
Security
Whether the port security feature has been enabled on the interface.
MacAddrs
Learnt or Max
Learnt – The number of secure MAC addresses that have been learned on the
interface.
Max – The maximum number of secure MAC addresses that can be learned on the
interface.
Violation
Total or Count or Type
Total – The total number of violations that have occurred on the interface.
Count – The count of the current violation on the interface.
Type – The action to be undertaken when a security violation occurs, either
“shutdown” or “restrict”.
PortShutdn (minutes)
Status or Time or Remain
Status – Whether the interface has been shut down due to a security violation.
Time – The number of seconds a port is shut down following a security violation, if
the port is set to “shutdown” when a violation occurs.
Remain – The number of seconds before the port is enabled again.
SecureMac
AgeTime
The amount of time, in minutes, MAC addresses learned on the port will remain
secure.
Learn
Whether the port is able to learn MAC addresses.
