5.5. CONFIGURING THE ETHERNET INTERFACE
The NexWeigh Ethernet Interface utilizes serial output, converting it to Ethernet
output in order to communicate over an Network.
5.5.1. Obtaining the Fixed IP Address
To use the Ethernet Device Server, it is necessary to input the Fixed IP Address.
Ask the customer’s Network Administrator for this information.
The IP Address must be within a valid range, unique to the Network, and in the same
subnet as the operator’s PC. List it in the format as prescribed below.
Examples:

the Unit
Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ45
port Network Connection.
5.5.3. Installing the DeviceInstaller GUI
Insert the CD into the customer’s CD-ROM drive.
If the CD does not launch automatically, follow these steps.
1. Click the
Start
button on the Task Bar and select
Run
.
2. Enter the
CD drive letter, colon, backslash, Launch.exe.
─ Example: E:\Launch.exe.
3. Click the
DeviceInstaller
button.
4. Answer the questions given by the Installation Wizard.
