Discovering Storage Devices
The V-Switch default algorithm for storage devices discovery is using the SCSI
command REPORT LUNS. Certain storage devices either do not support this
command or do not respond according to the SCSI standard. To discover these
devices, the REPORT LUNs command must be disabled. If certain devices in
the SAN are not being discovered by the V-Switch, use the CLI command
device set
to disable or re-enable device discovery via REPORT LUNs.
