RESTORING PRIOR CALIBRATION VALUES
Calibration values for KLP are stored in three separate locations in flash memory designated:
Factory, Prior and Working. Each time the unit is calibrated, the Working values are moved to
Prior, and the new calibration values are stored in Working. Factory values cannot be altered by
the user. The values in Working are the ones used by the power supply during operation.
During item final test at Kepco, Factory values are established during calibration and are copied
to all three locations. Should a unit be returned to Kepco for repair or retest, the recalibration
accompanying this testing will overwrite the contents of all three locations with the latest Factory
values.
Should the need arise, it is possible to replace the Working calibration values with the Factory
calibration values via one of the digital programming ports using the SCPI command string
CAL:DMP? [source];:CAL:COPY [destination], where [source] and [destination] refer to the loca-
tion of calibration values desired: FACT for factory and WORK for working. The calibration val-
ues are protected by the calibration password.
For example, to restore the Factory calibration values as the Working values the user would
send the following commands (presented in short form, with xxxx representing the applicable
calibration password):
SYST:PASS:CEN [xxxx]
CAL:DMP? FACT;:CAL:COPY WORK
SYST:PASS:CDIS [xxxx]
The Utilities section of the KLP VXI PLUG&PLAY driver may be used both to archive and
restore calibration files. The driver is available for download at:
