3.3.1.2 RS 232 FACTORY DEFAULTS [STANDARD MODELS ONLY]
The factory default RS 232 settings are as follows; refer to PAR. 3.2.13 to change the RS 232
baud rate (standard models only):
• Baud rate: 38400
• Parity: None
• Data Bits 8
• Stop Bits 1
• Echo OFF
• XON ON (enabled) NOTE: Kepco strongly recommends the XON XOFF method
for data transfer via RS 232 protocol for all Kepco products. If this method is
not selected, it is the user's responsibility to ensure completion of any
response by the power supply prior to issuance of subsequent commands.
3.3.1.3 LAN FACTORY DEFAULTS [E-SERIES MODELS ONLY]
The factory default LAN interface settings are listed below, however, actual unit settings may dif-
fer from those shown below depending upon whether the LAN is active (or connected).
• DHCP: ON
• AUTOIP: ON
• PING: ON (can only be changed through web interface)
• IP Address: Undefined
• MASK Address: 255.255.0.0
• GATE Address: 0.0.0.0
• DNS Address: 0.0.0.0
These default setting can be restored using the LAN Reset function (front panel only) or config-
ured as desired from either the front panel (see PAR. 3.2.15) or the web interface (see PAR.
3.3.6.4).
If the LAN connection is active when the reset is sent, the default values are as shown, except
that IP, MASK, GATE and DNS addresses are retrieved from the LAN or router and may differ
from values shown
If the LAN is inactive (i.e. LAN cable unplugged, router inactive, etc.), DHCP and AUTOIP are
disabled and IP, MASK, GATE and DNS addresses are all set to 0.0.0.0. If either the AUTOIP or
DHCP function is enabled by the user when the LAN inactive, it will be disabled if source power
is cycled.
